Vivo has finally announced the date of the launch of its upcoming flagship X60 series. The announcement finally came on Monday after weeks of leaks and speculations. The two upcoming phones under the series X60 – Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro will be launched in its country of Origin, China two days before New Year’s eve. Amid the announcement, a popular tipster who goes by the name Digital Chat Station on Weibo leaked the live images of Vivo X60. The images have now given us a fair idea as to how these two models might look and what all specs they could carry. With a thickness of 1 mm less than that of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini, Vivo X60 is tipped to be the thinnest 5G phone in the world yet to be launched. With a thickness of just 7.3mm, it has already been confirmed that the Vivo X60 series will be coming with Exynos 1080 SoC and will also include Zeiss optics.
According to the live shots that were posted on Weibo earlier, Vivo X60 will be coming in three distinct hue options. Also, looking at the photos, it appears that Vivo X60 will retain that gradient finish that was featured on the Vivo X50 series last year. One can even see the Zeiss branding at the back, just above the setup of the rear cameras.
According to the teasers that were recently posted on China-based social media app Weibo, Vivo X60 will feature a set of the triple rear camera while VivoX60 Pro will come with a set of quad rear cameras. The three cameras at the back of Vivo X60 will also feature a slight bump according to the live images surfaced online. Furthermore, the mobile phone will be coming with a USB port of C-type, loudspeaker grille, SIMcard slots along with a primary microphone at the bottom of the model. The Vivo X60 will also be featuring a secondary microphone at the top along with a tagline that says – Professional Photography. The tagline is a clear cut indication that the model is a camera phone made to rival professional camera equipment. One can expect supreme quality lens clicking crystal quality photos that can even rival the photos that have been clicked from DSLR. This feature will certainly make Vivo X60 a favorite among photography enthusiasts who want to pursue photography without burning holes in their pockets.
The Vivo X60 series that will be launched in its home country on the 29th of December will be succeeding the Vivo X50 series that debuted earlier in June. Both the phones, Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 pro will be running on the company’s OriginOS “out of the box”. The recent leak has also suggested a hole-punch design for both the phones. While Vivo X60 will be carrying a flat display, Vivo X60 Pro is said to feature a curved display. The rear will be using an anti-glare glass. The phone will feature a textured power button along with volume buttons on the right. The color variants will be Black, Yellow, and Gradient.
