Stay at home orders have been given in Southern California and San Joaquin Valley after the capacity of intensive care units fell below the maintained threshold of fifteen percent in these regions. Los Angeles and San Diego are a part of Southern California.

It is being said that almost eight-four percent of the population of the state of Southern California or thirty-three million citizens residing in the region would be affected by the stay at home order. Under the Stay at Home order, places of public gathering like bars, pubs, live audience sports, and places where there is a high degree of contact between people like salons will be shut by the order that would last till three weeks.

Although intensive care units yet can touch the determined threshold of fifteen percent in the five counties of the San Francisco Bay Area, the authorities are in no mood to take risks. It will follow Southern California and will soon come up with new Covid Restrictions.

Meanwhile, Moncef Slaoui, the chief advisor of the Operation Warp Speed program quoted on Sunday that he would be meeting the President-elect Democrat politician Joe Biden. As the first bunch of vaccines is expected to be rolled out later this month, the two would be discussing the Covid vaccines made by US based pharmaceutical company Pfizer. He said that he is looking forward to this meeting with the future president of the USA as things have been going as per planning. It seems that the meeting has been scheduled after Bidens’ comments surfaced that his team is yet to see the detailed plan of rolling out vaccines in a phased manner. Biden has reportedly called the plan an ineffective and expensive plan.

A public-private partnership initiated by the U.S. government, the main aim of Operation Warp seed program is to accelerate the development and manufacturing of COVID vaccines and seamlessly facilitate the vaccine distribution. This program was conceived on the 15th of May 2020.
