The northern regions of Spain, Castilla, and Leon declared shutdown of bars and restaurant this Tuesday And demanded tighter restrictions from the government to defeat the fight with coronavirus.

Spain is among the second-highest number of coronavirus cases in western Europe. The number of cases are 1.2 million till the date, with 36,495 deaths including 18,18,669 new infections and 238 deaths reported on Tuesday.

Announcement of lockdown in Castilla and Leon on November 6, the leader of the region describe the states as the “maximum risk”, seeking administration to put strict measures which were hindered by Spain’s current legal framework.

Under the six-month emergency, regional authorities have the power to declare a curfew and shut down businesses.but the total lockdown cannot be done without the orders of Central Government authorization.

The regional leader, Alfonso Fernandez Manueco, stated that they demand that the Spanish government to assumes its responsibility and take the measures required by the situation.

Spain has chosen regional lockdown, unlike France, Germany, and Britain, which have full lockdown.

Castilla and Leon’s restrictions news came on the same day when the northwestern Asturias region shut down bars and have requested for home confinement too from the government.

Catalonia one of the most favorite spot of tourist, have shut down the eateries and have restricted the travel across the place for the safety of the people.

While Madrid’s bar and restaurant, are allowed to keep a limit the capacity, shut up by 11 pm, was full of partygoers over the weekend due to the All Saint’s Day.

Seeing the sudden rise in cases, the regions of the high alert are trying their best to take necessary actions for the same, it is important to take preventions and stay safe.
