Pakistani actress Mahira Khan recently took to social media platform Instagram to reveal that she had been tested positive for Coronavirus and that she has been self-isolating for some time. The thirty-five-year-old shared over the platform that she has been self-isolating and requested all those who came in close contact with her to go and get their test done as a precautionary measure. She ended her post by requesting everyone to wear a mask and maintain social distancing while being in public. She added that one should also sanitize their hands from time to time to kill off the virus. According to Mahira, the days with Covid 19 have been rough but will soon be over this ordeal with Allah’s grace. She said that one should be following these guidelines not only for their own sake but also for their loved ones and the general public. She signed off by saying that prayers and movie recommendations are most welcome. Her Instagram feed and Twitter were flooded with prayers and wishes for her speedy recovery from her fans and well-wishers. Indian TV actress Mouni Roy who made her Bollywood debut with Gold in 2018 starring alongside Akshay Kumar was seen commenting on Mahira Khan’s post wishing her lots of love and praying for her speedy recovery.

Mahira Khan reportedly resumed her work in July this year for which she also posted a picture on Instagram. Mahira wrote that she was feeling surreal that she was back on set after such a long time. She wrote that even if it is for a short amount of time, nothing can be more blissful than facing the camera once again. She added in the postscript that she is hating this new normal as she is a person who loves to hug as it gives a more welcoming feel. Mahira Khan has been dominating the TV industry of Pakistan with her screen presence and immaculate acting skills. She is best known for starring alongside Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan in the TV show Humsafar which aired in Pakistan as well as in India between 2011 to 2012. Their on-screen chemistry shot up the TRP ratings of the show hence making both of them a household name in both countries. The popularity of Mahira Khan skyrocketed when she starred alongside Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in Raees in 2017, hence making her Bollywood debut. Fawad Khan, already a well-known name in the Pakistani film industry made his Bollywood debut with romantic comedy Khoobsurat in 2014 where he played the role of the heir of a royal family alongside Bollywood actress and fashion diva Sonam Kapoor Ahuja. Mahira Khan has also starred in many critically acclaimed Pakistani TV series like Sheher e Zaat and Bin Roye.
