Even before hitting the ground, Ace cricketer Virat Kohli has already started receiving praises from the Australian Cricket Fraternity. The Indian Cricket team, who is currently in Sydney, is scheduled to play 3 ODIs, three T20s, and four Tests Down Under.
The tour will start on 27th November and the scheduled test series will start in Adelaide from December 17 onwards.
Ahead of the clash between two cricketing mammoths, the former Australian coach Darren Lehman was all praises for the Ace Indian Cricket Player Virat Kohli, that he always pushes the boundaries for the players. He commended the way Kohli carries himself on the ground and plays every game with a Lion’s spirit.
He pointed out the 2017 T series of India vs Australia, how Virat Kohli with his full energy and high spirit played well in that match.
“He pushes the boundaries, that’s what great players do, and wants to win every game.” Said Lehmann.
Greg Chappell, the former Australian batsman, while showering his praises on Kohli, hailed him as one of the best cricket players in the world. According to Chappell, the Indian skipper is one the best and probably the most influential player in the world right now. Chappell continued by adding that Virat Kohli is a man with strong views and isn’t afraid to put them across, that he happily puts himself out there to back up his words.
Kohli scored 282 runs in four games which led him to be crowned as the third-highest run-getter in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2018-2019. Kohli left no stone unturned in beating the Aussies in their own backyard. The players and the audience are sure to miss the masterclass batting of Kohli and his enthusiasm on the field when he departs for his home after the first Test.
The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is said to begin at Adelaide Oval on December 17 with a day-night encounter, followed by the tests at the Melbourne Cricket Ground a day after Christmas, the Sydney Cricket Ground on January 7, and finally the Gabba on January 15.
