The health minister of Karnataka B Sriramulu was tested positive for COVID 19 on 9th August and was admitted to the Bowring and Lady Curzon Medical College and Research Institute in Bengaluru.

Karnataka’s health minister B Sriramulu is the first government official in Bengaluru who chose government hospital for his COVID 19 treatment. His decision to get treated in government was appreciated by many. 

The 49-years-old B Sriramulu is perfectly healthy now and has successfully defeated the virus and has been discharged from the hospital on 16th August, Sunday. According to reports, his mother Honnurumma was also tested positive for coronavirus a week ago,  she was also admitted to the government hospital, Bowring and Lady Curzon Medical College and Research Institute in Bengaluru. 

The 95-years-old Honnurumma had recovered from coronavirus and was discharged from the hospital on 22nd August, Friday.  On the same day, she passed a few hours after her discharge. 

B Sriramulu announced the sad news of his mother’s death on Twitter. He tweeted, “With deep sorrow, I’m informing you that my mother Honnurumma, died late last night due to age-related issues.  Amma, who has lived for ninety-five years, recently returned to Bellary’s home after being infected with COVID infection and treated at the Bowring hospital.” 

Medical Education Minister Dr. Sudhakar, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, and several other ministers condoled the death of Honnurumma.   

Karnataka’s Health minister set an example for everyone by getting him, and his mother admitted to Government hospital for COVID treatment. Also, they got fully recovered, which is praised by everyone.  

Currently, Karnataka has a total of 2,83,655 confirmed cases out of which 81,211 cases are active; 1,97,625 cases are recovered, and total fatalities are 4,810 have been reported from the state.
