Delhi Airport has set up a booth at Terminal 3 allowing the passengers of both international and domestic flights to take the covid test. Earlier the facility was restricted only to international passengers, on September 12 it was then open for domestic travelers too.

DIAL, an initiative association with Genestrings Diagnostic Pvt Ltd, which will help the passengers to submit their sample at gate no. 8 of terminal 3, getting their results in a short time before their flight. The statement also mentions that such passengers also have to arrive at least 6 hours before the flight, getting their test done by paying INR 2400. The collection booth can collect up to 120 – 130 samples each hour.

The testing facility for both domestic and international passengers at Delhi airport. This facility will help those passengers who have to travel and need a report of the covid test done.

Earlier the covid testing facility was set up at multi-car level parking of Terminal 3 for international passengers with domestic connection, the passenger has the convenience to book their slot online before moving to center for sample collection.thus, the result will be given within 6 hours and the negative patients were encouraged to report to state desk for clearance in their journey. This unique facility provides convenience for those travelers who need a report of the covid tests with them due to some reason.

Since March 23 International commercial flights in India were suspended by Civil Aviation and the suspension was extended till November 30 due to the pandemic. It was also stated that certain commercial international flights will be allowed to certain places by seeing the cases of covid patients.

International flights have been operating since May. Due to the coronavirus situation and continuous countrywide lockdown Domestic passenger flights were started on May 25 with strict safety norms.

As the government of India is starting to rise and fly, safety is the priority for the safe journey of travelers. The facility overall is a plus factor for the airport as there are many passengers who travel by air and seeing the sudden rise in the cases it is quite feasible for both the government and the passengers to ensure that they are tested and have a tension-free journey throughout their travel time. It is important to take necessary actions for the prevention of covid- 19. It is important to travel safely and ensure social distancing to keep the spread to the minimum from our side. The testing facility is quite flexible for all the passengers who are willing to travel by air.
