First, Bharti Telecom Group – Airtel is giving free data to its new users. Airtel has announced that it will be giving free data up to 5Gb to its new 4G users. According to this new offer by Airtel, new Airtel users will be able to take the benefit of using 5Gb high-speed data by using five 1Gb coupons after downloading the ‘Airtel Thanks” app provided, the app is being downloaded for the first time. The app is available on both Google Play Store and Apples’ App Store. The coupon used for availing of this offer goes by the name – ‘New 4G SIM or 4G Upgrade Free Data Coupons’.
The offer is being made available to pan India Airtel users. Citizens who have purchased a new Airtel 4G prepaid sim or have upgraded to a 4G device will be eligible to avail of this offer once they register on the Airtel Thanks app for the first time using their prepaid number. This offer is also applicable to users who have upgraded to 4G from 3G under the Airtel Network.
Once the app has been downloaded, the coupons will be sent to the customers’ account on the Airtel Thanks app within 72 hours. The person can find those five coupons under the “My Coupons” section of the app. The users need to keep in mind to use the five coupons within 90 days lest they expire. Once a coupon is activated, the 1Gb data can be used for three days after which it will expire. The user will not be eligible for the 2Gb free data offer which a user gets upon registering on the Airtel Thanks app for the first if he or she turns out to be eligible for the 5Gb free data offer.
Earlier this month, the telco had started offering free access to Youtube Premium for three months as a promotional offer to its present subscribers. The offer which offers free access to YouTube Premium, YouTube Red, YouTube Music Premium, or Google Play Music services will be live on the app as well as the company’s website till the 22nd of April, 2021. Starting at Rs. 129 per month, the subscription of Youtube Premium offers ad-free, offline, and background playback and pass to YouTube Music.
The telecom giant made it clear that this offer is only available to non-premium users.
It can be said that the promotional offers are showing their colors as according to a report from Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), while Jio added 1.865 million subscribers to base, Indias’ second-biggest telecom operator added a whopping 2.9 million subscribers to its base, in August this year.
